Installation instructions

These instructions allow you to install and configure a single-display setup. For instructions on how to configure a dual-display setup that allows message moderation, see the iWall User Guide.

step 1

Setup your GSM phone as a modem for your PC

To use your GSM phone with iWall, you need to install the drivers provided by the manufacturer of your phone.

Make sure to follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer to get your GSM phone correctly installed as a modem for your PC before continue.

Install and configure iWall

  1. Make sure to close all the programs that use the GSM phone, including the one provided by the phone manufacturer if it appears in the taskbar notification area. Also, check that your PC are not using your GSM phone to connect to the Internet.

  2. Run the iWall installer and follow the instructions on screen. In the last step of the installation process, make sure the Run iWall 2.5 box is checked and then click Finish to end the installation and start iWall.

  3. The management window and the projection window will be shown. Wait until the message "Searching for GSM modem..." disappears from the status bar of the management window.

  4. Click the Preferences tab in the management window and enter the mobile line number of the GSM phone in the Reception Number field.

Warning If the message “GSM modem not found” appears in the status bar, see the Troubleshooting section in the iWall User Guide.

Try it out!

Send an SMS text message from another phone to the phone connected to your PC. If a few seconds later you see your message in the Pending messages list, it means that your iWall installation is working!
